Zoë Gibson Paralegal
Based at our Windermere office, I deal with residential conveyancing which means sale, purchase, transfer and re-mortgage transactions.
I started working for Hayton Winkley as an office junior in 1996. After various secretarial promotions, I decided that I enjoyed conveyancing work so gradually took on more responsibly for dealing with certain aspects of residential conveyancing matters which meant I became more of an assistant to the solicitor I was working for at the time. I then qualified as a Certified Paralegal in March 2006, after studying by correspondence/distance learning for a Vocational Legal Studies Certificate with The Institute of Legal Executives. After due scrutiny by The Membership Committee of the Institute of Paralegals I became a Qualified Paralegal in March 2013 and was elected as a Fellow of the Institute. In May of 2013, Hayton Winkley and Thomson Wilson Pattinson merged to form the firm Thomson Hayton Winkley. Following the Charted Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX) having acquired the Institute of Paralegals I currently have CILEX Affiliate status and am seeking to improve that based on my experience.
I handle a full caseload of files, from onset to conclusion. I aim to keep all my work to a high standard within our residential conveyancing department and would look to seek advice, if necessary, from senior colleagues. I do my best to look after each client from start to finish with the same level of professionalism based on my knowledge and understanding. I care about my clients and endeavour to get the best result for them. I aim to be helpful, informative, efficient and a good communicator and to make the conveyancing procedure as painless as possible with an efficient and courteous manner.
I was born and brought up in Kendal, and villages within a 10 mile radius, and currently live in a village still within that radius with my husband. In my spare time I enjoy reading, singing, watching films and spending time with family and friends.
