Jayne Grassing Specialist Family Paralegal
Having worked as a legal secretary in the family department at Thomson Hayton Winkley (when it was originally Thomson Wilson Pattinson) for 20+ years, I took the plunge to train as a Specialist Family Law Paralegal, qualifying in October 2025.
I have a wealth of experience in helping people going through a very difficult time in their lives and provide support and empathy and I am very much enjoying my new role.
I have also spent time working with the family team at Jackson Lees – another firm in the MAPD group. This has helped widen my experience and has also allowed me to form good relationships with other family lawyers and learn from them.
Outside of work I enjoy getting out and about in the beautiful Lake District, walking the fells and socialising with friends and family. Other interests include Zumba dance fitness, cooking and listening to music, especially live bands.
I am married with two grown up children. We love to get away on city breaks and holidays abroad learning about the different cultures along the way and trying out the local food and wines.
