Helen Scott-Parker Solicitor
I specialise in Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection applications and the administration of estates, and have worked in this area since qualifying in 2003 with another Cumbrian firm. I bring a compassionate yet professional approach to every matter, supporting clients and their families through what can often be difficult and sensitive times.
After completing an honours degree in Hotel and Catering, I moved into law following the birth of my first child. I am based in Kendal and have also practised in Preston and Cornwall.
As a Dementia Friend, I have drawn on that understanding both personally, when my mother was living with dementia, and professionally, in helping clients navigate care fees, Court of Protection applications and the administration of estates.
Outside the office, I am actively involved in the local community. I am a trustee of Kendal Community Land Trust, an organiser of Kendal Torchlight and a member of the Age Friendly steering group, and I support several other community groups and charities.
In my spare time I like reading adventure and action books, sew and bake cakes & pastries, as a family we like going camping.
