Andrew Jackson Solicitor Degree Apprentice
I am a Solicitor Degree Apprentice at Thomson Hayton Winkley. Alongside my role, I am studying towards my law degree and solicitor qualification at the University of Lancashire.
Since joining the firm, I have gained practical experience working with clients and supporting colleagues on a range of legal matters. My role has allowed me to develop skills in client communication, drafting, legal research and the day-to-day progression of matters. As part of my apprenticeship, I will gain experience across different areas of the firm as I continue to develop towards qualification.
As I have progressed through my apprenticeship, I have taken on greater responsibility and particularly enjoy developing my practical legal knowledge alongside my academic studies. I aim to provide clients with a helpful, approachable and professional service, keeping them informed and supporting them throughout their matter.
Outside of work and university, I help on my family’s farm, which has given me a strong understanding of rural life and the issues that can affect farming families. This also gives me a particular connection with the firm’s farming and rural clients. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling and getting out and about in the Lakes.
