Lakes Hospitality Trade Show

We had a busy couple of days at the Lakes Hospitality Trade Show this week – Suzie Fisher reports back:

“As someone who is usually deskbound it was lovely, albeit tiring, to spend two days at the Lakes Hospitality Trade Show on the stand. I have only just recovered!  After such a long break everyone was excited to be back and the buzz around the place was amazing.

We had lovely neighbours either side of our stand – with Jacqui and Caroline from Cumbria Community Foundation on one side and the team from Visit Eden and Keswick Tourism Association on the other side.

Lots of people stopped by for a chat, and to have a guess at our “how long is a piece of string” competition.   Some took it very seriously!  The string was in fact 216 cms long.  Most people under estimated, but the closest was Tim from Graythwaite Adventures who guessed 213 cms and won a hamper of goodies from some of our favourite local suppliers.

Attending the show also gave us the chance to wander round and speak to other exhibitors – some we know well, and others from further afield with great products and services.  The supply chain for Hospitality industry really is wide and varied!  It also gave me chance to stock up on a few pens!!”

As a Strategic Partner of Cumbria Tourism we love helping local tourism and hospitality businesses with a range of legal issues and are proud to be part of the supply chain.
