In the last month or so we have welcome two new lawyers to the THW team – Hazel Jones (Residential Property) and Wendy Wharton (Head of Family)
Hazel has joined our ever busy team of conveyancers, dealing with a wide range of property transactions including both registered and unregistered properties, leasehold and freehold title. She brings a friendly and collaborative approach and knows the importance bringing everyone together when so many transactions rely on each other in a conveyancing chain.
On moving to THW Hazel said: “Joining a long well established firm, who have evolved an innovative and encompassing team and an environment where both personal and professional growth are important, means so much to me. I am very happy to have been given the opportunity to be part of THW.”
Stephen Greenwood, Head of Residential Property added: “It’s great to have Hazel as part of the team. She brings with her a wealth of conveyancing experience and local knowledge having worked locally in the industry for a number of years.”
Wendy has worked in family law for nearly 20 years and joins THW as our new Head of Family. She said: “It excites me to be bringing my vast experience and expertise of working with clients from all parts of the UK to such an established legal practice with a strong reputation.
Starting a new job and role is like entering unchartered waters. Today, I am ready to navigate through challenges and sail towards building success here. Like many people my route into my current role was not planned. It just happened. It is a real privilege to be given this opportunity at this stage in my career to build up the family department at Thomson Hayton Winkley. With my motivation, attitude, and determination and with others here wanting the same, I am sure we will succeed. Let’s continue to grow!”
Fiona Ward, our Managing Director echoes Wendy’s enthusiasm saying: “I am delighted that Wendy has joined the firm and I am sure that with her experience the department will go from strength to strength. I knew right for our first meeting that Wendy was the right person for our clients and for THW”.
