Not long now until the Westmorland County Show which is being held on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th September 2023 at Lane End Farm near Crooklands.

The show is a highlight of the local calendar – an eclectic mix of the best of farming and countryside.  From livestock showing and judging to equestrian events, artisan foods to crafts, trade stands to entertainment.  It a place where farmers, locals and visitors alike can mix, catch up with old friends and learn.

As a proud supporter and sponsor of the Show, we recognise its importance to the community – many of our clients are involved in rural businesses or simply live in rural locations.  This is their show and we love being a part of it.  It is great to catch up with them, as well as our professional contacts and also to meet new people.

Once again we are back on our usual corner plot (stand C95) where you can catch up with the team from the Rural Law Practice and our other legal offices, together with David Winnard from Thomson Hayton Winkley Financial Services and some of the sales and letting teams from Thomson Hayton Winkley Estate Agents.

As in previous years, we will be serving tea/coffee and cake throughout the day, and cheese and wine at lunchtime.  That always goes down well!

On the Wednesday morning (between 8 am and 9 am) we will be hosting breakfast, in aid of the Addington Fund.  If you are there bright and early, please call in for a coffee and pastry in return for a donation to the fund.

So if you are at the show, do please stop by to for a chat, a brew and a welcome sit down.  Now – all we need is some good weather!
