Asaph joins THW and Hannah broadens her experience

We are pleased to welcome solicitor Asaph Glass to the Kendal office of Thomson Hayton Winkley, working in the Dispute Resolution team.

Having grown up in Yorkshire he left to train in Kent and has lived predominantly in the south since, spending much of this time in Hampshire.  Dispute Resolution covers a wide range of civil law and Asaph has acted for numerous individuals and companies, settling disputes including residential and commercial property disputes, consumer law, contentious probate, contract claims, debt recovery and employment law.

On joining THW Asaph said: “Kendal and the Lakes area is somewhere I remember fondly from my childhood, but having been in the south I had not returned for many years. I look forward to this new opportunity, working closely with my colleagues and developing my client base. Beyond that I also have a wonderful place to live, right on my doorstep.”

Hannah joined THW earlier this year from a large firm in Manchester, but being local to the area, she was keen to work in a more rural environment – who wouldn’t.  Specialising in commercial property, Hannah has already worked on a number of large transactions for retail and leisure premises.

Recently she has expanded her experience by working a couple of days a week out of our Rural Law Practice office.  This is strong area of our business and many of our commercial clients are also rural businesses so this is a perfect fit for Hannah.  Hannah is very much enjoying her new working environment and getting to know our clients and other professional contacts.

John commented “I am pleased that we have been able to attract lawyers like Asaph and Hannah to Thomson Hayton Winkley.  There are obvious attractions for young lawyers to gravitate towards the cities, but we all know that this is a brilliant place to live and work – and our clients are the best!  I am looking forward to seeing both Asaph and Hannah helping develop the future of THW.”
