Melanie Weeks Solicitor
Based at the Kirkby Lonsdale office, I specialise in private client work including the administration of estates, drafting wills, lasting powers of attorney and court of protection matters.
I came to the law later in life after a career in the health service, having practised as a registered general nurse and midwife. I was also kept busy as a Non-Executive Director at the local hospital trust for a 5 year period.
Having trained and practiced law at a firm in Morecambe, I originally dealt with both family law and private client law. This was followed by more recent experience at a firm in Kendal where I continued assisting clients with all aspects of private client matters and now focus solely on this area of expertise.
Outside of work I enjoy cycling in the beautiful Lune valley where I live and try to undertake an occasional long distance charity bike ride.
