I specialise in Dispute Resolution and act for both businesses and private individuals. My areas of expertise include disputes concerning land, employment, contracts (including building disputes) debt and wills.
I qualified as a solicitor in 1987 having obtained a LLB from Cardiff University. I worked as a solicitor in the northwest of England and after spells of working abroad as a solicitor and barrister in the Solomon Islands and St Helena, I joined Thomson Hayton Winkley in 1991.
I am acutely aware of the costs and stresses which arise from unresolved disputes and I take a practical, cost effective approach from the outset. I believe that in the vast majority of cases the clients best interests are served by a speedy settlement but I appreciate the need for determined advocacy in certain cases.
I am married with two grown up children which means that I now have the time to enjoy cycling, fell walking and good quality beer (although not generally at the same time).
“ Considering the short time factor, Jonathan Hardiker dealt with my case promptly and efficiently, resulting in a positive outcome. Very grateful, thank you. ”
“ I have been represented a number of times by Jonathan Hardiker. Very pleased with how he dealt with matters. Concise advice, will definitely use in future for advice prior to entering contracts. ”
“ This was my first experience of having to seek legal advice and use a solicitor. Everyone that I dealt with within the company was fantastic and reassuring. It made what was a difficult and scary time a bit easier and I would recommend you as a firm. Thank you to Mr Hardiker who dealt with my case and everyone at Thomson Hayton Winkley ”
“ Jonathan gave extremely useful advice, wrote very well constructed and strong letters on my behalf, and obtained a better outcome than I had originally expected. ”
“ Thank you for such a prompt and efficient service. We cannot believe that this matter was resolved so quickly. The Trustees have agreed that we will approach THW for any further legal work in the future ”
