Last night a team from THW took part in “Get Lost at Lowther”, a fundraising event organised by Grant Seaton at Cumberland Building Society, raising funds for The Calvert Trust.
Lawyers Suzie Fisher, Stephen Greenwood, Kayleigh Hunter,
Nicola Steadman and Danielle Walls donned their trainers with
trepidation! Never having done orienteering before, never mind
“orienteering with a difference” we hadn’t a clue what to expect!
But it was great fun exploring the gorgeous countryside around
Lowther, squeezing through small fences, getting nettled and even a bit of running!
(Thanks to Kayleigh for taking one for the team and getting wet!)(below left, the THW team “before” L:R: Suzie Fisher, Kayleigh Hunter, Nicola Steadman, Danielle Walls, Stephen Greenwood)
21 teams from all over Cumbria including other solicitors, accountants, finance companies, and the Cumberland themselves, took part - and whilst not finishing in the top ten, we did not disgrace ourselves!
£3,150 was raised by the event for The Calvert Trust.

activities to children and adults with disabilities see - http://www.calvert-trust.org.uk/
Huge thanks to Grant for getting everyone together, to everyone who helped on the night and to Lowther Castle for the stunning backdrop and refreshments afterwards. Same time next year??
